Van is a lifetime resident of the Jackson area and lives in Madison at Lake Lorman with his wife Nancy. Nancy is a retired Math teacher from Jackson Prep and St. Andrews Episcopal School. Van has one son, Kyle who is married to Morgan Lewellen Jones and one daughter, Kelsey. Kyle works for Boston Scientific as a Territory Manager in Jackson. Kelsey is married to Webb Emerson, she is a GI Nurse at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Van and his family are members of Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson.
Van enjoys waterskiing, fishing, CrossFit training, and SEC Football & Basketball & spending time in Starkville, MS, as well as Orange Beach, AL.
